For over three decades, Dr. Sushmita Mukherjee has been a reliable name in women’s healthcare in Indore. As an experienced gynecologist and obstetrician, she has committed her career to helping women at every stage of life. Dr. Sushmita Mukherjee completed her M.B.B.S. in 1989 at Medical College, Kolkata, where she was the top student every semester. In 1992, she earned a DGO, which is a Diploma in Obstetrics and Gynecology, from the same college, ranking first at the University of Kolkata and receiving a gold medal. Following that, she took the All India Entrance Examination and achieved her MD in Medicine in 1994 from Rajendra Medical College, Ranchi, where she again ranked first in the university. She then sat for the DNB examinations, passed them in 1996, and received the DNB from Honorable Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi. Afterwards, she moved to Indore and began her practice. Initially, she trained in vaginal surgeries under Professor Vyomesh Shah. Then, she underwent comprehensive training in laparoscopy at AVA Hospital in Bangalore with Dr. M. Ramesh. This was followed by IVF training at Reliance in Mumbai. She has completed both basic and advanced infertility training through FOXY-recognized courses.

Dr. Mukherjee has received a fellowship from the Association of Minimally Access Surgeons of India (AMASI). She obtained her FMAS fellowship, passed the exam, and is now a faculty member for that course. Recently, she served as a faculty member for the FMAS course in Jabalpur, where she lectured on laparoscopy and conducted candidate exams. Additionally, Dr. Mukherjee trained in cosmetic gynecology at the Indian College of Cosmetic Gynecology and received a diploma from ICCG, where Dr. Navneet Magan was part of the faculty. Through INSERGE, another association focused on cosmetic gynecology, she obtained a fellowship in cosmetic gynecology and laser treatment.

She is also qualified to perform laparoscopic surgeries during pregnancy, such as the removal of large ovarian cysts, twisted ovarian cysts, dermoids, and laparoscopic cerclage in cases where cervical cerclage has failed.In addition to laparoscopy, she is skilled in all types of gynecological open surgeries. This includes the removal of a 6 kg fibroid and a 12 kg para-ovarian cyst, cases that gained media attention, including coverage in newspapers and on TV.

Dr. Mukherjee is trained in vaginal surgeries and can perform various procedures such as prolapse surgeries, hysterectomies, hymenoplasty, and many cosmetic gynecological surgeries like labiaplasty and vaginoplasty.

Regarding pregnancy, she is trained in high-risk pregnancy. She has completed a one-year correspondence course in high-risk pregnancy from the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and received her completion certificate in Mumbai. In high-risk cases, she deals with various medical conditions, including heart disease, artificial heart valves, sickle cell disease, thalassemia, portal hypertension, and others related to liver or kidney disease.Additionally, she handles complicated pregnancy cases, including recurrent pregnancy loss, multiple abortions, and cases with multiple anomalies. Her track record shows she can achieve full-term pregnancies, even with a history of intrauterine deaths or multiple abortions.

For IVF and IUI, Dr. Mukherjee has achieved excellent results with both single and twin pregnancies. She has also successfully managed many surrogacy and ovum donation cases.
